Family Photography Rooted in Movement, Light, and the Way You Actually Are Together

You’re always the one behind the camera. You have hundreds of photos of your kids but almost none of your whole family together — and none that feel intentional or beautiful.

You’re never in the photos

You’ve seen the stiff family portraits — matching outfits, rigid smiles, kids melting down. You want something that actually looks and feels like your family, not a performance of one.

The fear of forced photos

Every week your kids look a little different. You keep meaning to capture this stage, this age, this version of your family — but life moves faster than your phone camera can keep up with.

They grow so fast

But you’re facing a few challenges.

Twenty years from now, your kids pull out these photos and see the life you built together, not a staged portrait, but the real thing.

You look at your gallery and see your family the way it actually feels — messy, warm, full of love, and exactly right.

02

Your kids run ahead, laughing. You and your partner hang back, hand in hand. Nobody is told to sit still. And somehow, every single moment is captured.

WHAT IF YOUR FAMILY SESSION FELT LIKE THE BEST HOUR OF YOUR WEEK?

Family sessions aren’t about getting everyone to look at the camera at the same time. They’re about presence — the way your toddler reaches for you, the look you give your partner over your kids’ heads, the belly laugh that erupts from nowhere.
I use gentle direction and movement-based prompts to help your family connect naturally. We walk, we play, we pause. I work with natural light and thoughtfully chosen locations so your images feel warm, organic, and unmistakably yours.
Kids get to be kids. Parents get to relax. And the photos feel like your family — not a performance of one.

THE SIGNATURE SESSION

know more

I’ve always been drawn to the in-between moments — the ones that happen when nobody’s trying to perform. A toddler reaching up. A parent’s quiet exhale. Siblings mid-laugh. That’s what I photograph.
Your family doesn’t need to be “camera-ready.” You just need to show up as you are. I’ll take care of the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

the answers

What ages do you photograph?

All of them! From newborns to grandparents. I love multi-generational sessions, sibling shoots, maternity, and everything in between. If they’re part of your family, they’re welcome.

My kids won’t sit still. Is that a problem?

Not even a little. I expect kids to move, run, and be themselves — that’s actually when the best photos happen. My approach is built around movement and play, not stillness.

What should we wear?

Clothes that feel like you. Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully — creams, warm browns, muted greens, soft blues. I’ll send a detailed styling guide after booking with visual examples and outfit coordination tips.

What if my baby is fussy or my toddler has a meltdown?

We pause, we snuggle, we take a break. Some of the most beautiful photos come from the tender moments right after a little one calms down. I build flexibility into every session and I never rush.

How far in advance should we book?

Families typically book 2–3 months ahead, especially for golden hour or fall sessions when availability fills quickly. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible, just ask!
